5th Grade Expectations

As third-year Spanish students, fifth graders should be able to relax, listen and follow lessons given totally in Spanish. Teachers work to make language accessible by developing thoughtful lessons which incorporate visual aides, formulaic language structures, vocabulary and projects that build from day to day.

Students should feel successful if they are able to understand the general idea and most new aspects of what is covered in lessons, can follow basic directions and commands, answer questions, participate in oral conversations, produce written work and understand most albeit not all of the aural input.
